Hi there! How are you? I hope you are fine and still doing something useful
over your house. :D By the way, today I’ll tell you about the unique houses in
some countries. First, I will tell you about complex houses of Hakka family,
China. Hakka family was moving from the yellow river area in 12 th to 13 th century. They built big house with rounded
hard wall in order to protect them to outsider. One townhouse is for the family
who has the same last name and the non-Hakka family are not allowed to live in. Differ from Chinese, Many of Malayan in
Kalimantan and Malaysia build their house on the river. It’s because their job
as a fishermen, but unfortunately they use timber of mangrove that has the
durability against the sea water to built the house.
If Malayan live on the
river, some people of Peru live on reed islands made of floating reed in the
lake. The boats (for fishing) and the houses are built from reed. But they must
change the old reed into the new one every several months to keep their stuff
good. It’s quite interesting about the houses people like to live. If you want

Table Manner Around the World

Hi again. I got an idea to write my blog for this time. it's about table manner around the world. Well, in Indonesia, especially for Javanese, it would be polite for you to eat with your hand, but it will be very impolite if you don't look at your food, or talk to other while you are eating. You will also impolite if you mess up your food, everything must be very quiet, quick, and neat. But how about in the other country?
In Chile, you will not be allow to use your hand to take any food on

your table, because Chileans always use utensils. But different with Ethiopians, they say it wasteful to eat with utensils, so
they eat everything with their hands — specifically their right hand. In Canada, you will be polite if you come late to the dinner table, but
if you come on time or early, it won't be acceptable. In China, you have to mess your food after you eat to show that you enjoyed the meal. In Egypt, don't refill your own glass, but let your neighbor to do it, and don't forget to refill your neighbor's glass if the water is less than half full.

Back to Indonesia that have many cultures, Bataknese, will be very boring if there are no conversation in the table, they love to talk and even they take home the food that left. If yoe, have been though in Javanese ways of table manners, or the like, you will be very surprise when you come to Bataknese party when they are going to eat.
Thats all from me for this time. hope you enjoy it.

All around the world there are
many culture. Depends on that, every culture also have their own tradition to
celebrate something happened in their place. Most common celebration that they
held is harvest party. Every country around the world also have their own harvest
goods. It’s interesting enough to know them. Because of that today I’ll show
you some tradition people do to face the harvest time. American have
Thanksgiving. In this day people slaught turkeys to celebrate the overflow of
turkeys. After that, they eat it with their famiy and colleagues. Differ with
America, people in London celebrate the harvest festival by made shining
mascot, called “the Pearly”. This idea was discover by road sellers who decorated their pants with
scattered pearly button on the road. In order to celebrate sugar harvest,
people in Barbados, Karibia held The Crop Over Festival in July. It’s funny
beacause they still held this tradition even though Brazil has taken their
first place as the biggest sugar producer. As the one of the most rice producer
in the world, we absolutely have local traditions to celebrate the harvest time..
Javanese people have the special ceremony called Sekaten. They made gift called
Gunungan that contains many kinds of food, rice, fruit, and vegetable. They do
that in order to show their respect to “Sri Goddess”. For more information please go to this website : www.harvestfestivals.net

Hi there! Long time no see, but
I’ll pay it with share this blog posting for you, my loyal readers. :D Today
I’ll tell you about kind of transportations people use in the world.
Transportations in general are just like bus, motorcycle, train, or boat. But if
we look out, there are many unique transportations that some countries have and
they are exist until now. Let’s see in Japan. They have Rickshaw as their local
transportation. It’s a two wheels vehicle
without machine, but they make it useful with man power. They say that
the driver, or we can call him / her as the puller, must wear special shoes
before the trip to make easier to run. I can’t imagine if the passanger is the
fat person.
Philipine’s people have Habal Habal. It’s the
one of the most unique transportation I’ve ever heard. Habal Habal is a
motorcycle with longer jock, so it can bring more than 4 adult people for a
trip! It’s a kind of funny if we look at the picture. While in India the people
use elephants as their usual transportation. I think it will be amazing if I
can sit on it someday :D.

Hi there. I'm wondering how people can earn much money and become the richest people in the world. But no matter, even if these people come from many countries, I believe that they never stop to work hard to develop their business.
Now, I would like to tell you the 5 richest people in the world.
Forbes Magazine recently published its annual list of the World’s Richest People in 2013.
The world’s richest person is from Mexico, Carlos Slim Helu, that his earn comes mostly from telecom network America Movil that he owns, contributing $36.3 billion to his wealth.
The richest person number 2 is Bill Gates,a person from USA, and he's my favorite because I ever read the story of his live; how he started the microsoft that made him be the richest person few years ago in his young age.
Now see the third richest person. Amancio Ortega of the Inditex Group, which markets, the
Zara apparel line — is the year’s biggest gainer. His net worth
increased $19.5 billion, and registered a 50% year-on-year increase in sales. Wow, he might be the next richest person I guess.
The fourth is stocks expert Warren Buffett of Berkshire Hathaway, whose net worth increased $9.5 billion to $53.5 billion. and the last is Larry Ellison, which source of his wealth comes from Oracle, and he lives in Woodside, United State.
There are also a list of 100 richest person in the world, they come from many countries, but I didn't see any Indonesian person include. Well, the big question is when we'll be one of them?
