Body Language Around The World

Body language is common sign that people use instead of the spoken language. Every culture has its own way to express something through the body language. Something, there’s a rude sign that is looked as good manner but in seems bad in another nation. It means that we have to make sure that we know the sign in particular community before we go in there. A chin flick means “I couldn’t care less”. Educated people do not use this gesture in Chili. It’s not funny if you are classified as uneducated people by the folks. Differ with Chileans, Dutch have special sign when that they usually use to indicate that they are busy, for example when they have a call.  Moving index finger around the ear is common sign that the Dutch use in the situation, while some nations indicated that as the sign when you called someone: “the crazy”.  It will be a trouble if you don't quite understand the purpose. We as Indonesian people also have a particular body language that we use in daily life. It’s usual habit in our culture when we smile to the other even to strangers. It shows our hospitality and politeness as the Eastern Countries, they said. It’s not easily acceptable in the western countries maybe, because they rarely do that in their place and they sometimes feel surprise if they get it from us. That’s all from me, I hope after read this posting, you always pay attention about body language of the people wherever you stay. For more information you can access: www.fitforafeast.com
