Hi everybody. First
I'll say
happy Kartini's Day to all of the women in Indonesia which we celebrate every
year on 21 April. Kartini is not only known for her beauty but also her dedication, especially dedication
which have great impact in the emancipation of women.

Each of us looks at
beauty from a different perspective. Appearance often
acts as a benchmark in seeing someone at the first meeting. For
example: admiration for Korean artists who were thin, have slanted eyes, and
sharp nose. It is inviting effect on the society. In fact, many Korean women
want to be beauty as their idol by doing plastic surgery. In Indonesia, it is also
important to have a good body. Therefore after pregnancy, women usually wear
Stagen or we called “gurita” and then wrapped around the body, to suppress
stomach and large waist after pregnancy. Although it hurts, they still do it in
order to get a great body back. Kayan women in Thailand have their own beauty term. A woman is called beautiful when she has the long-necked. Therefore, they put necklace
-like neck ring- in the neck of their daughter. The neck ring is applied to more and more
depend on their age so their necks become longer.

In Mauritania, fat woman is a
man’s dream. To get the fat body, every mother over there gives her daughter
fatty foods and dairy. Because too much eating, the children vomit, but instead
were given more. Well
friends, I think (and almost certainly of you agree with this) we all know, we
often hear that true beauty comes from inner beauty. Physical appearance is to be considered,
but don’t
forget the inner beauty. Useless
when you have a beautiful face, but often insult others. Whatever the terms of
beauty in your country, just be yourself. If your attitude to others is good, people will accept you,
even more than the “beautiful” women out there. If you work hard, you can be better
than Kartini
maybe. Who knows? :)
